Sexy Harpsichord
The harpsichord (clavecimbel in Dutch) is not the sexiest instrument on the planet. But when you hear the reincarnation of Jimi Hendrix play this predecessor of the piano1 it is a different kookie! My heart leaps with joy when I hear this divine music, my body starts to convulse in al kinds of crazy ways, my soul soars, I am crying and laughing at the same time. Who wants to dance the tango with me to this music?
Fun fact: the word piano is related to the harpsichord. The original name of the piano is piano-forte, meaning soft-loud in Italian. The harpsichord always has the same volume. On the piano, on the other hand, one can play soft and loud, play on different volumes, hence the name piano-forte. Because of this, the piano-forte was considered an improvement on the harpsichord.
